This one is special.
Last year, our Product & Ingredient Manager, Alexandra, and I were chatting—as we often do—about ingredients, new things we’d tried, plants we were excited about, and all the little discoveries that inspire us.
She told me she had recently experienced a sweetgrass hydrosol and instantly knew we needed to bring something like it to our community. The way she described it stayed with me. Sacred. Grounding. Soft. Alive.
Then I tried it for myself.
And she was right. I was obsessed. I fell completely in love with the softness, the sweetness, the brightness — all wrapped into one.
I started blending different essential oils into the formula, trying to create the “perfect” scent around the sweetgrass. For weeks, my office, my car, myself, and honestly… my little one too, all smelled like sweetgrass. I could not stop testing it.
But eventually, I realized something important.
Nothing needed to be added.
The sweetgrass itself was already perfect, exactly as it was. Soft, green, grounding, subtly sweet. It carried something special all on its own, and I didn’t want to mask that. I wanted you to experience it exactly as nature intended. Pure. Unaltered. Honest.
So instead of changing the aroma, we chose to deepen the experience in another way.
We partnered with a small, family-run farm in the Pacific Northwest that organically grows and harvests sweetgrass with incredible care and intention. The plants are tended through the seasons and distilled fresh in small batches to preserve their living essence and natural aromatic profile. There is something deeply special about knowing exactly where an ingredient comes from, who grew it, and the love and stewardship that went into every step of the process.
We infused the mist with crystal energy (yes, there is a crystal inside of your Hair & Body Mist) and vibrationally attuned it to 432 Hz—a frequency often associated with harmony, grounding, and resonance with the natural rhythms of the world around us. The result feels less like a perfume and more like a ritual. Something you experience with your entire being.
Sweetgrass has long been regarded as a sacred ceremonial plant, traditionally used by Indigenous peoples in rituals intended to invite peace, connection, and renewal. Because of this reverence, sourcing this ingredient with intention was deeply important to us.
