Hello, Beauty!
If you had asked me a year ago about eye cream, I probably would have just shrugged my shoulders. Like a lot of people, I figured my regular face moisturizer would do the trick for that delicate area around my eyes.
Boy, was I wrong.
It wasn't until I started paying more attention to my skincare routine that I realized how crucial targeted eye treatments are. The skin around your eyes is actually the thinnest, most sensitive on your whole face.
And that area has fewer oil glands than the rest of the face, which means it does not have the same natural cushion of moisture to rely on. It is also constantly moving every time we smile, squint, blink, laugh, or look at a screen for way too long.
So it can start feeling dry, looking crepey, holding puffiness, or showing fine lines faster than expected.
Truthfully, it is usually just asking for more targeted support.
That is why we created two different eye products for two different reasons.
Our Anti-Aging Eye Cream is the one I think of for puffiness, hydration, and smoothing.
It has that richer, more cushioning feel, so it makes sense when your under-eyes feel dry, delicate, or like they need more comfort. Green tea and goji berry help support the look of smoother, firmer skin, while cucumber and eyebright help refresh the appearance of puffiness and tired-looking eyes.
Our Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum is the one I think of for revitalizing the eye area, softening the look of dark circles, and bringing a little glow back.
Pineapple-derived ceramides help support the delicate skin barrier, while sake peptides help the eye area look smoother and more revitalized. It gives the skin around your eyes that lighter, fresher, more awake-looking finish.
And yes, you can use one or you can absolutely use both.
If you want to use both, apply the Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum first for that lightweight, hydrating, barrier-supportive step. Then layer the Anti-Aging Eye Cream on top when you want more moisture, comfort, and cushion
I kept treating eye care like a bonus step, when really, the skin around my eyes was just asking for a different kind of support than the rest of my face.
So if eye cream has always felt easy to skip, I get it. I used to feel the same way.
But once you understand how thin and delicate that skin is, it makes a lot more sense why your regular moisturizer may not be enough.
And since our sitewide sale started yesterday, it is also a very good time to grab the eye care you have been meaning to try, or restock the one you already know your skin loves.

In hindsight, giving the thinnest skin on my face the absolute least amount of attention was a pretty questionable strategy.
