Setting the Standards for Menstrual Hygiene around the World

Every day, an estimated 300 million people around the world depend on menstrual products, yet no ISO standard exists to assure those products are safe, consistent, or effective. But that’s changing: with input from nearly 60 countries across the globe, an ISO Technical Committee is developing the first ISO standards for menstrual products.

Reminder: What Would Happen in a World Without Standards? ANSI Student Paper Competition Offers Cash Prizes

Just a few days left to apply: ANSI and its Committee on Education encourage students to apply to the 2025/2026 Student Paper Competition, which challenges applicants to investigate the unseen standards that make modern life possible. Entries are due by June 5, 2026.
