What a time…
As a brand rooted in quality and intention, I choose our materials with care - and 14k gold has always been at the heart of my designs. Because we craft fine pieces from precious metals, AGJ is susceptible to market fluctuations. As I'm sure everyone has seen, the price of gold has been rapidly climbing at an unprecedented pace to an all-time high, surpassing $5500/oz this week, up 20% in January alone. I have been riding the wave and absorbing the increases where I could, but the time has come to adjust prices.
Even while the market fluctuates, what stays true is my commitment to craftsmanship and devotion to using only the highest quality materials - real diamonds, real gemstones, solid gold. I won’t be substituting for inferior materials - no plated metals or lab-grown stones; rather I thoughtfully and intentionally raised prices to cover the increased costs. I also edited the line to retire styles where the price increase would feel too steep.
