Beginning July 9, award-winning watercolor artist Iain Stewart will guide you through a four-part live online series designed to help you strengthen your skills, develop creative habits, and build confidence in your watercolor practice.

Through demonstrations, repeatable exercises, sketchbook exploration, and practical painting strategies, you’ll learn how to approach both natural landscapes and urban settings with greater clarity and intention. From planning stronger compositions to avoiding common watercolor pitfalls, Iain will help you create paintings that feel more personal, expressive, and successful.

JULY 9 | IAIN’S ESSENTIALS
Kick off the series with a focused 2-hour workshop covering the essential watercolor techniques Iain uses in his own work. You’ll explore warm-up exercises, planning strategies, and repeatable studies designed to strengthen your skills and prepare you for larger, more confident paintings.

Scots-born watercolor artist Iain Stewart is a signature member of the American and National Watercolor Societies whose award-winning work has been featured in international exhibitions and collections around the world. An accomplished instructor, author, juror, and architectural illustrator, Iain is known for helping artists strengthen their watercolor skills through design, observation, and expressive painting techniques. He is also an International Brand Ambassador for Escoda Brushes, Daniel Smith Watercolors, and Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks.
