FIREWORK SAFETY TIPS - Always follow the firework code
1. Do not buy fireworks from UNLICENCED retailers. These fireworks may be unsafe & illegal
2. Only buy fireworks that comply with current safety standards
3. Always keep fireworks in a closed box. Take them out one at a time & close the box
4. Never put fireworks in your pocket
5. Avoid setting fireworks off late at night, particularly if it is a school-night
6. Be considerate - let your neighbours know you will be having a display, especially if they are elderly or they have pets or children
7. Ensure your pets are safe
8. Carefully follow the instructions on EACH firework 9. Never go back to a lit firework unless the instructions advise otherwise
10. Never throw fireworks; it is dangerous
11. Light fireworks one at a time, at the end of the fuse, & at arm’s length
12. Light sparklers one at a time & wear suitable gloves, even when lighting them
13. Never give sparklers to a child under the age of 5
14. Never throw spent fireworks on a bonfire

Fireworks are subject to Challenge 25 – No I.D., no sale. If you are under 18 and try to purchase fireworks you are breaking the law. Please do not be offended if we ask you for I.D. when you are buying fireworks.
