Happy Friday Betches, and happy Emmys season! The 2026 Emmy nominations dropped on Wednesday, delivering dozens of nominations to old stalwarts, while also acknowledging some fresh new shows from the past year. The Pitt, which won last year’s Outstanding Drama trophy, led the pack with a whopping 25 total nominations. Having numerous severed limbs and gallons of fake blood per-season definitely helps in the technical categories. Meanwhile, over on the comedy side of things, Hacks landed 24 nominations for its final season, staking its claim as the frontrunner, even if Taylor Swift’s MSG wedding did overshadow Deborah Vance’s “sold-out” comedy special there. Beef, which won the Oustanding Limited Series Emmy back in 2023 for its first season, earned 16 nominations this year, the most of any limited series or movie.

Challenging the returning favorites are Widow’s Bay, which landed 19 total nominations in the comedy categories, Pluribus, which secured 18 nominations in the drama categories, and DTF St. Louis, which pulled in 13 nominations in the limited series categories. I’d also like to point out that the Super Bowl Halftime Show, starring my future husband, Bad Bunny, earned nine Emmy nominations, so stay tuned for EGOT Bunny coming in the near future. We just need to get him a James Bond song and a juicy role in an In the Heights revival.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Emmy nomination announcement without some snubs and surprises. Despite airing its final season, Stranger Things didn’t get a single nomination in a major category, while Industry failed to earn any nominations despite a buzzy fourth season. Ashley Padilla, the breakout star of Saturday Night Live, also was blanked.

Meanwhile, Chase Infiniti, fresh off her One Battle After Another debut, earned an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama nomination for The Testaments. Riz Ahmed and Sally Field also swiped noms for The Bait and Remarkably Bright Creatures in crowded categories. And in the land of reality TV, Dancing with the Stars’s recent resurgence pushed it to a Reality Competition Emmy nomination over the longstanding Amazing Race.

Updates On My Close Personal Friends — Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley are separating

It’s never a great sign for a marriage, when you start bringing your sister along as a plus one to events. Perhaps we should have seen the writing on the wall when Taylor Swift’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff attended her wedding with his sister Rachel rather than his wife, actress Margaret Qualley. Post-T&T Wedding, Page Six confirmed that the couple had separated, with People quoting a source that labeled their nearly three-year marriage as “rocky.” However, this morning Margaret’s team released an official statement denying trust issues, infidelity or “anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.” Her team went on to say, “There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them.”

The pair were first linked in 2021 before getting married in August 2023. Another warning sign of the relationship’s end might have been Antonoff’s band Bleachers nixing their song “Margaret” from the set list.

As a slightly strange aside, Antonoff’s previous girlfriend, Lena Dunham, whom he dated for several years in the 2010s, WAS at Taylor Swift’s wedding, where she supposedly caused a stir in a speech by saying something to the effect of, “Football is just straight guys reenacting gay porn.” It must have been an interesting week for Antonoff.

There’s no bad time for a career pivot. Just ask Meg Stalter, Vin Diesel, and the latest actor-turned-musician, Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins. The Silence of the Lambs star will be dropping his debut album, a classical piece entitled Life Is a Dream, on August 21. The octogenarian is often posting videos of him playing the piano on social media, so this isn’t quite as wild a pivot as it would initially appear. However, he has stated that the album has been six decades in the making, meaning that he’s technically been a musician as long as he’s been an actor. The moral of the story here is that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Sign up for that pottery class. Start learning French. Take some hip hop dance lessons. Why not?

Current Hyperfixation — Taylor and Travis’s quartet of flower girls

With 1,000 wedding guests, details about Taylor and Travis’s wedding continue to trickle out via first-person accounts from those in attendance. Sportscaster Rich Eisen, a friend of Travis, provided a new detail to Entertainment Tonight, saying that the four daughters of Travis’ brother Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie were “sprinkling flower petals all over the place.” Travis and Taylor picking their four nieces, Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 16 months, as the flower girls makes total sense, and I am using this opportunity to again implore Taylor to RELEASE SOME PHOTOS! I want to see the dress, I want to see the venue, and I certainly want to see the flower girls throwing petals all over the place.
