‘Tis the season, y’all — Beto's officially back on the road today for the next thirteen weeks. He’s visiting every major college campus across Texas to make sure students are registered and ready for Election Day, starting today at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Running a statewide campus tour 78 days away from Election Day is equal parts exciting and stressful (Beto calls this our holiday season and I can definitely see why…!).
Registering voters in Texas takes real work and real resources.
Gas. Hotel rooms. Endless stacks of voter registration forms. We can’t just hand out a form and walk away — we have to build a real relationship with these students to ensure they show up in November.
Right now, I’m working through our budget to make sure we can keep Beto on the road for the full 13 weeks.
