How we actually reach those 440,000 moved Texans

You may have seen the email we sent you yesterday about our new voter registration program.
I wanted to follow up personally, because this work is close to my heart.
I've been organizing in Texas for years. I've watched voters get turned away, get confused, give up — not because they didn't want to vote, but because nobody was there to help them navigate a system that was designed to be confusing.
This week, our partners mailed voter registration forms to 150,000 Texans who have recently moved — 50,000 from out of state, 100,000 from within Texas.
But the mailer is only the beginning.
My job — our job — is to make sure every single one of those voters actually gets registered. That means texts. Phone calls. Follow-ups. Staying with them all the way to November.
This is behind-the-scenes work. It doesn't often make headlines. But it is the real work that wins elections.
These are exactly the voters who could decide the outcome of James Talarico vs. the corrupt Ken Paxton. We cannot leave them on the table. Plus we have opportunities to make unexpected friends along the way…

It’s going to cost Powered by People at least $66,000 to cover the texts, calls, and contact data needed to reach all of these Texans.
Thank you for being part of Powered by People’s work to save Texas, the country, and to build community one voter at a time.
