Hey, it’s Aimee, Executive Director at Powered by People. I have an exciting update for you:
This weekend, we partnered with James Talarico’s campaign to send our volunteers to his rally in El Paso to help attendees with their voter registration (verify it’s correct; update it; or get them registered for the first time), to personally stay in touch with them to answer any voting or registration questions, and to personally encourage them to vote when early voting starts.
This is how we will win. This is how we will elect James Talarico to the Senate where he’ll be the 51st Democratic vote.
Every person our volunteers registered this weekend is someone who wasn't in the system before. Someone who might not have voted at all if we hadn't shown up.
We need to keep sending volunteers to concerts, campuses, and other places where new voters are waiting to be found.
But to be completely transparent, our fundraising has hit a slowdown this month:
We had raised $48,809.99 more by this point in June. I will never try to scare you into donating but we do want to be honest with you, in case you can help us close this gap.
