Texas makes it harder than any other state for young people to register and vote.

So we try harder than anyone else to meet young people where they are, get them registered and stay with them until their ballot is cast.

That's why I was with our Powered by People volunteers in Arlington last night for the Mavs Afterparty -- a big celebration on the UTA campus for returning students and incoming freshmen, like Celeste. 

We know that the young Texans we registered and added to our relational network last night are twice as likely to vote as their peers. In 2024, 79% of the 18-29 year olds in our network voted. Statewide, that number was 39%.
