The next phase of our work this year

As Executive Director of Powered by People, I get to see firsthand the incredible work our staff and volunteers do every day to push back against voter suppression here in Texas.
So far this year, our organizers have been out in full force - registering and staying in touch with over 25,000 voters at concerts, on college campuses, at local coffee shops, and more statewide.
On top of that, we’ve personally reached out to over 250,000 eligible Texans to help them vote by mail, and over 100,000 Texans who moved recently to make sure their voter registration moved with them so they don’t lose their voice come November.
With exactly 100 days until Election Day, Beto and our team are finalizing plans to hit the road in September, October, and November to reach college students all across Texas.
To make this travel and organizing blitz happen, we need to raise $43,000.
Here’s why this matters so much right now: young Texans are one of the most under-registered groups in the state — and one of the most decisive if they show up.
With high-stakes statewide races on the line, including James Talarico taking on Ken Paxton for Senate and Gina Hinojosa running for Governor, every single vote will matter.
Winning these races comes down to one thing: reaching young voters where they are and ensuring they are registered and ready to vote before Election Day.
Thank you for being in this fight with us,
Aimee Prudhomme
