Here’s the progress we’ve made this year

We’re now offsetting our carbon emissions

Over the past 6 months we’ve worked really hard to map our emissions across our supply chain. We now know that from the field to your front door, 2.5kg of CO2e is emitted to get every bouquet to a lovely customer. Which is roughly the same as 3 bags of pasta. We’re taking responsibility for these emissions, so from this month we’ll be investing in a range of carbon offsetting projects to take us to net zero emissions. We also have plans to reduce the CO2e every bouquet uses in 2021.

We’ve made our letterbox packaging 100% recyclable

Goodbye single-use plastics. Even our flower nets are recyclable now! By the end of this year, the changes we’ve made will save 60,784kg of plastic and polyester from going to landfill. That’s about the same weight as 929 fridges. And in 2021 we’ll be making our hand-tied flowers and plants packaging 100% recyclable too.

We’re sending zero waste to landfill

We hate waste. So we make sure our warehouses send zero waste to landfill. In fact, we’ve sent nothing to landfill for the last 5 years!

We plan the flowers we use as best we can. But sometimes our crop isn't ready when we thought it would be, so occasionally we need to make some substitutions. But don't worry! Any swaps we make are always just as lovely!
