Working Backwards
Ahead of a workshop I’m slated to teach in Chile, I took a scouting trip
to Patagonia to photograph a range of topics, places, people, and cultural aspects of the region. The purpose? To create a book that shows students what they might encounter over a ten-day workshop. That meant I had a single goal in mind before my shoot‍—‍which helped me work backwards
to inform my edit, sequence, and design.
