47 Recipes to Make This Fall

By Bon Appétit Staff

We made the very most of peak summer produce, and now it’s time for something a little heartier. Butternut squash, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, figs, apples, and pears are starting to fill the markets—because yes, ffall is still a season abundant in fruits and vegetables, which are enjoyed alongside our favorite meaty braises. As we prepare for cooler temperatures and shorter days, we’re craving comfort food, like warmly-spiced breakfasts, roasted salads, steaming bowls of soup and crocks of chili.

Yes, there are certainly some design and quality metrics that help distinguish the Staubs and Le Creusets from Amazon Basics, but the bottom line is: Every Dutch oven on the market will deliver an extremely similar cooking performance. What it all comes down to is quality and design.
