My favorite part of working on our Best New Restaurants awards isn’t actually dining out. (Okay, yes, that’s pretty great too.) It’s bringing brilliant recipes from these star chefs back to our Test Kitchen. Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes of two of this year’s featured menu items. In this email:

How to Turn Nerds Candy Into a Cocktail

By Jesse Szewczyk

Bon Appétit just shared the 19 Best New Restaurants in America, something our team has been working on for the past year. Multiple editors traveled across the country, trying countless dishes and drinks, some of which were so memorable, we had to ask for the recipe. Back in 2022, we were fortunate enough to ask Parton about her grand designs for her dream dinner party. Her answers were quintessential Dolly: both wholly earnest and humorously irreverent.
