These are the 4 I swear by

I was initiated into the world of rice cookers when my college roommate bought one for our house. I didn't fully realize how spoiled that little appliance made me until she moved across the country and took it with her. I was left to make do with the finicky stovetop method that never turned out quite right.

In the years since, I got my own and can’t imagine being without one. Having well-cooked rice at the touch of a button means I can turn my attention to stir-frying chicken or whisking up a peanut sauce. But not all rice cookers guarantee a perfectly fluffy pot every time—so I’ve tested dozens to find out which models are worth the money (and counter space).
