Mother’s Day has always meant a lot to me.
I’m a husband to an extraordinary woman, Tana. A father to five amazing daughters. A grandfather. And a physician who has spent over 40 years helping people take better care of their brains so they can live longer, feel better, and stay connected to the people they love.
Over the years, I have worked with thousands of women. I’ve seen how much they carry every day. The responsibility, the emotional load, the constant giving. It is remarkable. And it is often invisible.
What I see just as often is this. They start to feel off.
More overwhelmed than usual. More irritable. More exhausted. Not quite like themselves.
And instead of stopping to take care of their brain, they push through.
They take care of everyone else first. Their families, their work, their communities. Their own health gets pushed aside.
But your brain is the organ that drives everything. Your mood. Your energy. Your patience. Your ability to be present with the people you love.
When your brain is supported, everything works better.
This Mother’s Day, I want to encourage you to take a moment for yourself. Or, if you’re reading this for someone you love, to encourage her to do the same.
At BrainMD, we’re honoring the women who give so much with 15% OFF sitewide and free shipping all weekend.*
It’s a simple way to support the brain that supports everyone else.
