Hi there,
A play gym can be HSA/FSA eligible when a licensed provider writes a Letter of Medical Necessity for your child's diagnosed condition. Autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorder are the common ones. For a family in the 22% federal bracket, paying with pre-tax dollars cuts the real cost by roughly 30%.

And on the price conversation, one Brainrich dad said it best:
"Spend 2k on a new TV or gaming systems, no one bats an eye. Spend 2k on this and it's 'a waste.'"

The verified 2026 numbers
Straight from IRS Revenue Procedures 2025-19 and 2025-32:
• Health FSA: $3,400 per employee. Use it or lose it (max $680 carries over, if your plan allows).
• HSA: $4,400 self-only, $8,750 family. Never expires.
• Two working spouses: separate FSAs can hold up to $6,800 combined.
What ~30% means in practice: a $899 Model T3 runs about $632 effective. A $1,499 Spider V3, about $1,055. A $1,899 Spider Max V3, about $1,336. (22% bracket + 7.65% FICA. Your bracket may differ. Not tax advice.)

Save this: the 3 mistakes that get claims denied
1. A letter dated after the purchase. Complete the health survey on or before the day you buy.
2. General wellness language. "Exercise is healthy" fails. The letter must name a diagnosis and a targeted treatment.
3. Thin receipts. Administrators want an itemized receipt: date, merchant, item, amount. A card-statement screenshot doesn't count.

How it works at our checkout
Add a gym to your cart and select HSA/FSA as the payment option. Answer a short health survey (3-5 minutes). A licensed provider reviews it independently. If approved, a signed Letter of Medical Necessity arrives by email and you pay with your HSA/FSA card. No appointments, no paperwork chase.
What we won't promise: approval isn't automatic. The provider's judgment and your plan administrator have the final say, and equipment bought purely for fun doesn't qualify under IRS rules. That strictness protects you at audit time.
