The Local Consumer Review Survey 2023
It's back! The long-awaited Local Consumer Review Survey, in which we bring you fresh insights on how people are using and writing online reviews. 

We asked consumers everything from how often they're looking for business information online, to which review sites they trust the most, and where they've spotted fake reviews.

The state of consumer reviews in 2023:
  • 87% of consumers used Google to evaluate local businesses in 2022, up from 81% in 2021.
     
  • 76% of consumers "regularly" read online reviews when browsing for local businesses.
     
  • 42% of consumers are confident they’ve seen fake reviews on Facebook in 2022, compared to 37% in 2021.
     
  • 20% of consumers aged 18+ use TikTok to find information about local businesses.
