| A huge multi-year European study just out this month in the Annals of Internal Medicine (1) found that the 25% of people who drank the most coffee per day experienced “significantly lower all-cause mortality.”

| And women who consumed the most coffee died less from circulatory and cerebrovascular diseases, too. |

| I’m not expecting coffee to get me anywhere near 180 all by itself… |
| After all, it’s impossible to run a long enough study to prove a serious impact on longevity anyway – this one was on the long side at around 16 years. |
| However, these results add even more weight to the already overwhelming evidence that at the very least, coffee isn’t bad for you like some detractors would have you believe (claims that coffee is “acidifying” or stunts your growth have been long since debunked)... |
| And even though it’s impossible to account for every single possibility in an “observational” study like this… more and more research suggests it’s probably extremely good for you as well. |
| Most likely due to the high concentrations of polyphenol antioxidants that help your mitochondria (and by extension, your entire body and brain) run better, and longer. |
