Ready to try a spiced coffee that is as good in your cup as it is in a brownie? Then look no further than our newest collaboration with Kahawa 1893, our African Spice Coffee.

We collaborated with Kahawa 1893 for the Spring 2022 Spice Club to create a spiced coffee that puts a fresh spin on your morning cup, makes a delicious cold brew (garnish with an orange twist!), and as a fabulously rich addition to brownies, chocolate cakes and even as a rub for steak and ribs.

The blend, made with freshly ground medium roast coffee, Cinnamon Verum, Cloud Forest Cardamom Seeds and Pemba Cloves, was inspired by a traditional Kenyan drink known as "Kahawa Chungu," a spiced coffee enjoyed black or with sugar and milk.

Just 2 tablespoons of this freshly ground coffee will make you one extraordinary cup of coffee.

Founded by Margaret Nyamumbo, a third-generation coffee farmer from Kenya, Kahawa 1893 has a mission to close the gender gap in coffee in Kenya, where over 90% of labor in coffee comes from women. She does this by sourcing exceptional coffee directly from women farmers and celebrating coffee’s African origins while focusing on ethical compensation and sustainable business practices.
