Hi there,
Every week for the past year, I've had some version of the same conversation.
|
|
|
| "Should I be taking magnesium?" | | "My friend swears by a probiotic, is it worth it?" | | "What multivitamin do you recommend?" | | "My last DEXA scan came back borderline, what should I be doing about calcium?" |

The questions are good. My answers, honestly, have been mixed. I could tell patients which categories mattered, but when it came to specific products, I usually said something like: look for third-party tested, avoid anything with a proprietary blend, and don't fall for the marketing. And then I'd feel like I was handing them off to figure the rest out on their own.
I don't like that. It's not the kind of care I want to give.
The supplement aisle isn't built for women in this stage of life. Most formulations treat a 25-year-old and a 55-year-old as the same body. Most brands optimize for what sells, not what a woman going through menopause actually needs. And the sheer volume of options; hundreds of magnesium products alone, means "just take magnesium" is not real advice.
So my colleagues and I built the answer we couldn't point patients to.
Four supplements, formulated by the Winona physician team for exactly this stage of life. |
|
|
| A magnesium blend with nine forms of magnesium. The specific forms the body uses to support sleep, muscle recovery, and calm. Nearly half of US women aren't getting enough from diet alone. | | A calcium supplement, because estrogen shifts change how the body absorbs calcium and bone health in this decade is a long game that starts with getting the nutrient right. | | A probiotic + prebiotic blend, because the gut microbiome moves with your hormones and more than 8 in 10 women report new digestive changes during this transition. The strains and the fiber that feed them come in the same capsule, which is how they actually work. | | A women's multivitamin, built for how nutrient absorption changes in menopause; vitamin D, B6, B12, and the trace minerals that keep energy and cognition steady when a strong diet alone stops being enough. |

These are the four I'd have handed a patient if I'd had them to hand. Every formula is third-party tested for purity and potency, made in the USA, and HSA/FSA eligible.
They're built to work alongside Winona HRT. The hormonal layer and the nutritional layer, from the same physician team, held to the same clinical standard.
If you want to look at what we built, the lineup is here:
