Day 3: The Castmagic API πŸ”Œ

Until today, your transcripts, recordings, and generated content lived inside Castmagic. Now they travel. The API lets your tools talk to your library directly: pipe every episode into a client dashboard, auto-publish show notes to your CMS, or import recordings from anywhere you capture them. If you run an agency, a content ops team, or anything with a workflow bigger than one app, this is the day Castmagic becomes part of your stack instead of a stop in it.

And this is not a two-endpoint API. Nearly everything in your account is reachable:

πŸŽ™οΈ Recordings: list them, fetch them, create them. Push uploads straight in or import from any URL.
πŸ“„ Transcripts: full speaker-attributed text for any recording.
✨ Outputs: every piece of generated content, from show notes to social posts.
πŸ” Search: query your entire library programmatically.
πŸ—£οΈ Speakers: read, create, merge, and assign them across recordings.
πŸ—‚οΈ Spaces and prompts: your workspaces and prompt library, all addressable.

How it works:

1. Generate an API key in your settings.
2. Hit simple REST endpoints for everything above.
3. Build it into anything: dashboards, automations, publishing pipelines.

Not technical? No problem. Forward this email to whoever builds your stack. They'll know exactly what to do with it.

The API vs the Claude MCP connector 🀝

A few weeks ago we shipped the Claude MCP connector, which puts your library in a conversation: you ask, Claude reads your content, and something gets made. The API puts your library in your software: your systems push and pull on their own, no human in the loop. One is for thinking with your content. The other is for building with it. Most serious setups end up using both.

Who gets it πŸ”‘

API access is included on Starter plans and up. On Hobby? It's a one-click upgrade. See plans β†’
