Hi there,
Welcome to this week's Monday Mindset Mastery.
There's a moment that happens sometimes, usually when you're not trying for anything in particular, when something ordinary becomes briefly extraordinary. The light through the kitchen window at exactly the right angle. A stranger's laugh that sounds like someone you loved. The smell of rain on warm earth. A sentence in a book that feels like it was written directly to you.
You notice it. And for just a second, everything else falls away.
This week, we're exploring what those moments are, why they matter, and how to have more of them.
Before we dive in, this month every course in our catalogue is just £27, and every purchase automatically enters you into a draw to win a brand new iPad. Use code GIFT27 at checkout.

What It Means to Truly Notice
Noticing is not the same as looking. We look at our phones hundreds of times a day. We look at screens, at people's faces in meetings, at the road ahead. But genuine noticing — the kind that lands somewhere and changes something — requires something different. It requires presence.
Presence is the ability to be fully in this moment, not mentally three steps ahead, not replaying yesterday, not composing your response before someone has finished speaking. It sounds simple. In practice, it's one of the rarest and most valuable capacities a person can develop.
Many spiritual traditions describe the practice of noticing as a form of prayer. In Zen Buddhism, it's embedded in the concept of beginner's mind: seeing each moment as if for the first time, without the overlay of assumption and habit. In mindfulness practice, it's the foundation of the entire approach. In shamanic traditions, it's the awareness that allows you to receive the messages
that the world is constantly offering.
You don't have to subscribe to any of these frameworks to benefit from the practice. You just have to be willing to slow down.
The Messages Hidden in the Ordinary
When we talk about everyday moments carrying deeper messages, we don't necessarily mean that the universe is scripting your Tuesday. We mean something more subtle than that: that the quality of your attention determines the quality of your experience, and that paying closer attention tends to reveal things that would otherwise remain invisible.
The relationship that's been on your mind for weeks might clarify itself during an unremarkable walk, if you're present enough to let a thought complete itself. The creative problem you've been stuck on might resolve in the shower, if you're not immediately reaching for your phone.
The grief you've been holding might finally move, if you let yourself sit with the song that's been quietly playing in the background.
Noticing creates space. Space is where things shift.

Deepen Your Practice This Week 📚
If this week's theme has opened something up for you, here are three courses that take it further.
🌲 Shinrin Yoku — Forest Bathing Diploma Course
Shinrin Yoku is the Japanese practice of immersive nature connection, and it's one of the most evidence-rich wellbeing practices in the world. This course explores its origins, methodology and benefits, and gives you the knowledge to practise it deeply and, if you choose, to guide others in it. A beautiful course for anyone drawn to the idea that the natural world is a source of healing.
Tai Chi is one of the oldest and most quietly powerful practices in the world, and at its heart it's a practice of noticing. Every movement asks you to feel where your body is in space, to follow the breath, to be fully present rather than rushing on to the next thing. This course covers the principles, history and therapeutic benefits of Tai Chi, giving you a thorough and genuinely beautiful foundation whether you want to practise for yourself or guide
others.

🌿 Horticulture Diploma Course
There's something about working with growing things that pulls you into the present moment almost without trying. This course explores the science and practice of horticulture in depth, from plant biology and soil health through to garden design and cultivation. But beyond the knowledge, it's a course about developing a different quality of attention, the kind that comes from observing how things grow, change and respond to their environment over time.

📖 From the Blog: Yin and Yang — Meaning, Symbol, Energies and Traits
The art of noticing is deeply connected to the practice of balance: understanding how opposing forces, effort and rest, doing and being, thinking and feeling, relate to each other and create wholeness.
A beautifully written exploration of one of the most enduring ideas in human thought. This piece looks at the philosophy of yin and yang not as an abstract concept but as a practical framework for understanding your own life: where you might be overextended, where you might be underinvested, and what it might feel like to find the balance.
A genuinely thought-provoking read for anyone drawn to this week's theme.

This week's Student of the Week is Iqra, and her reason for studying with us is one that stopped us in our tracks. Iqra facilitates a community support group for neurodivergent, disabled and queer Global Ethnic Majority people, and came to Centre of Excellence to formalise skills she's already been sharing for years, so she can generate income that allows her to offer even more support to her
community for free.
The modalities she's studying aren't new to her either; she's been using them to manage her own trauma caused by racialised injustice for over a decade, and runs a monthly healing circle where she brings them to the people around her.
What she found through learning with us was something she perhaps didn't expect: a real boost in confidence and a genuine increase in knowledge and competence that's made her work feel more purposeful. We're so proud to be part of what Iqra is building, and even prouder knowing that what she builds will be handed straight back to her community. 💛
