For the first time in World Cup history, every match will feature a mandatory water break in each half. Cold, fresh, clean water for every player.
For most of us, saying “clean” before “water” is redundant. Of course the water at the World Cup will be clean. Of course the water we drink, bathe, or cook with will be clean.
But for 696 million people, “clean” is the word that doesn’t go without saying.
That one word is the difference between school days and mornings spent walking. Between earning a living and staying home sick. Between a kid getting to play football and a kid hauling jerry cans.
This summer, as the World Cup plays out in 16 cities around the world, we're inviting the charity: water community to help us reach a goal of our own: funding 21 water projects in communities where clean water isn’t a given.
For every project you help fund before July 10, a generous donor will fund one more – sending your impact twice as far.
Give today and make clean water go without saying.
