We've got some top tips for you:
🗓️ 1.
Buy well in advance: seriously, don't leave this until the week before. Getting them early means you have time to prepare your child, do a few practice runs at home, and most importantly get them properly washed up before use. Which brings us to...

2. Wash, wash, wash: these pants need 4 or 5 washes before they reach their full absorbency. You don't need to dry in between, just keep putting them through and then dry them inside out on the line. The more washes before first use, the better they'll perform as you're opening up the fibres in that absorbency layer.

3. Get used to them at home first: before the trip, have your child wear them at home for a few nights so they feel familiar and comfortable. The last thing you want is for the first time they wear them to be in an unfamiliar bed away from you.
🛏️
4. Fleece PJ bottoms are an absolute game changer: fleece is brilliant for wicking moisture away and keeping the bed dry. Cut them into shorts if needed. Pop them over the pants for maximum protection without anything looking out of place in a dormitory.
💧5.
Add a waterproof bed pad: the pants and pad together give much better overnight protection, and it rolls up small enough to tuck into a bag without anyone noticing.
👜 6.
Wetbags are a must: pack one so your child can pop damp pants straight in, seal it up, and store it discreetly until you're home. They can manage this completely independently, which makes such a difference to their confidence.
