For the Palais Royal boutique inauguration, LEMAIRE presents “A Box of Impressions,” a photography exhibition and print sale.
The box-sized photographic exhibition draws inspiration from the unique architecture and cultural heritage of the Palais Royal. Each artist has contributed 10 unique photographic impressions focusing on themes of daily observation, ephemerality and the intersections between public and private. This series nods to Colette, who moved to the Palais Royal in 1938 and kept a journal of observations of the happenings and visuals she viewed from her apartment.
The project is co-curated by Lou Stoppard and Sarah-Linh Tran.
Artists include Eleonora Agostini, David Campany, Teju Cole, Motoyuki Daifu, Moyra Davey, Elein Fleiss, Naohiro Harada, Osma Harvilahti, Paul Kooiker, Justine Kurland, Manon Lutanie, AiHeMei, Jeff Mermelstein, Marianne Mueller, Tod Papageorge, Helena Pokorny, Lewis Ronald, Sage Sohier, Courtney Stephens, Hayahisa Tomiyasu, and Ana Vaz.
