Not all heroes wear capes.
And that’s certainly true of the parrotfish. Because, well, it’s a fish.
But thanks to its habit of removing algae from coral reefs so they can grow again, it’s a marine-preservation superhero – and the inspiration for the new Trident 30x30, created by Christopher Ward with Blue Marine Foundation, one of our 2% for GOOD charity partners since 2019.
Limited to 500 pieces, the watch is named after Blue Marine’s 30x30 Ocean Action Plan – which aims to put 30 percent of the planet’s water under protection by 2030.
It boasts a new, bespoke wave-patterned dial to mimic the ebb and flow of the tides, while its teal shade and red seconds hand mirror the colours of the parrotfish – inspired by 2020’s #FishForTomorrow campaign by Blue Marine.
Turn the 41mm ‘sandwich’ case over, and you’ll find Blue Marine’s 30x30 logo deep-stamped into the closed case back.
And for every Trident 30x30 sold, we’ll donate an extra £30 – on top of the existing ‘2% for GOOD’ – to Blue Marine.
