Today we come to you with quite literally the most exciting announcement of all time. And you know we don’t care much for hyperbole ‘round these parts. When we say we make the world’s greatest shorts, it’s because we quite literally make the world’s greatest shorts. And when we say we have quite literally the most exciting announcement of all time, well - you be the judge:

We are incredibly proud to announce that as of this morning, Wednesday, September 1st, of the year Two Thousand and Twenty One, circa 12:47PM UTC, in allegiance to our endless pursuit of spreading the Friday at 5pm feeling as far and as wide as possible … *drumroll please*… WE HAVE OFFICIALLY JOINED: SOLO BRANDS.

If there were ever a time to slam a boom, this is it, and we’ll tell you why:

Solo Brands is a family of distinctive and adventurous lifestyle brands built around creating and enhancing great moments that turn into cherished memories. *hell yeah*. It’s a collection of folks unified around the shared purpose of ensuring a future that isn’t dominated by some megastore and its by-products, but instead by unique brands powered by creative products and content built by and for their incredible communities.

And not only that, it’s a collection of brands that do business with integrity, accountability, and responsibility, giving back to our communities every step of the way. To us, this is the future of how commerce should be, and we are unbelievably, inexpressibly, honestly borderline dangerously excited to join the squad that is building this vision.

Big picture - we are still at the very beginning of our journey to spread that oh-so-glorious Friday at 5pm feeling (you know the one) to the farthest reaches of the planet. We have come a long way in the past 10 years and have been honored to welcome the most amazing folks we’ve ever known into the raucous and righteous family that is Chubster Nation, but we still have a long way to go.

Our mission essentially boils down to bringing joy to as many people as is humanly possible. And you know what else? Championing equal access and awareness for mental health while we're at it because we all know life’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Given that, we think it’s pretty dang important to welcome as many people as possible into the Rocketship-to-Weekendsville that is Chubbies.

Chubbies will still be Chubbies, but as a part of Solo Brands we’ll be empowered to do exactly that. Additionally, we’ll be enabled to deliver even better customer experiences to every single person in our community.

We are joining a squad of some of the most talented and passionate people we know. People who are building brands, and engaging with communities that share in our conviction that a brand should deliver unforgettable customer experiences in unique and distinctive ways while also working to uplift their community and society at large.

Suffice it to say, we believe in that experience. We believe that by working with similarly driven, passionate, (wildly) intelligent, honorable, cause-driven, inspiring, and frankly super friggin’ awesome people we will pave the way towards a better future not just for Chubbies, but for commerce in general.

So hold onto your butts, buckle up and hang tight - it’s about to be a wild ride and we’re only just getting started.
