I PICKED MY TOP 5: DISNEY TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS™

Tomorrow at 12PM PT, we’re finally revealing all 75 styles from Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas™ | Civil Regime. But before you see everything, I wanted to personally pick five pieces I’d tell you not to sleep on and explain why each one made my list. You’ve already seen some of the Marble Rose Hoodies, and obviously those had to be represented here. The rose has been part of Civil for over 10 years, so those pieces will always hit a little differently for me.

But the other three pieces in this email? I haven’t leaked any of them yet. 👀

So here are my five.

This one had to make my list. If you look closely at the artwork, you’ll see our Civil C sigilism throughout the graphic, redrawn in our heritage ALT style specifically for this piece. It’s one of those details you might not notice right away, but once you see it, you start finding the C’s everywhere. That’s what I love about this tee. It’s loud, it’s orange, it’s Jack, but when you really look at the artwork, there’s still so much Civil DNA worked into it. And yeah… the orange is crazy. 😂

The rose has been part of Civil for over a decade and has become one of the most recognizable pieces of our design language. On Nightmare Scare, it’s the contrast that does it for me: the black mud-stain body against that bright green Rose embroidery. The green roses were intentional, pulling from Oogie’s color palette and bringing that energy into one of our most important Civil silhouettes. Against the black mud-stain body, that green embroidery hits even harder. You can immediately tell what collection it belongs to, but you can also immediately tell it’s Civil. 

The pinstripe on this one is obviously a nod to Jack and his suit, but we wanted to take it further than that.

Once you start looking closer, there’s a lot happening. Jack, the roses, the webs, the artwork running through the sleeves and body. It’s busy, it’s layered, it’s chaotic. But that’s us. That’s the chaos we thrive in and wear as our armor. You can keep looking at this hoodie and find another detail you missed the first time. That’s Spiral Chaos.

​This is the other Marble Rose that had to make my list. You have the black-and-white artwork across the hoodie and then those deep red embroidered roses cutting through it. I love how much contrast there is without needing a bunch of color everywhere else.

For the Honey Bears who have been collecting our Rose pieces for years, this is one I’d personally tell you not to sleep on.

And then there’s All Hail.At first, this one looks simple compared to some of the crazier pieces in the collection. But when you get closer, that’s where it changes.Surrounding Jack is our custom hand-drawn Antique Cyber sigilism, created by our in-house design team. It’s worked into the black-on-black artwork so you almost have to find it instead of having it thrown at you. Then you have Jack dominating the front with “I am but the Pumpkin King.” That combination is why this became one of my favorites. From a distance, it’s a clean black graphic tee. Up close, there’s a whole layer of Civil design language hidden inside it. Sometimes the details you don’t see right away are the ones that make the piece.

Those are my five. Well… kinda. 😂 There’s actually one more piece that almost made this list. But I’m not leaking that one tonight.
