Hello!
I’m excited to officially announce the launch of DockView 2 🎉
This release took longer than I originally expected. Over the past months, I had to rebuild large parts of the app from scratch several times. A big reason for that was your feedback, extensive testing, and my own everyday use of DockView.
At some point, I realized I didn’t want DockView to become an app filled with random features just for the sake of having more features. Instead, I decided to focus on what really matters: a native macOS experience, a minimalist interface, and something that feels natural and comfortable to use every day.
DockView 2 is a completely new foundation for the future of the app.
That said, I also want to reassure existing users: many features from DockView 1 will return very soon — but this time after careful adaptation to the new architecture and much more thorough testing.
If you’d like to get access to new features earlier — including experimental functionality such as Stage Manager support — you can download the beta version using the links below and subscribe to updates.
Over the next week, I’ll likely be releasing new beta builds almost daily. You’ve shared a huge number of ideas and feature requests, and I’m currently adapting and testing them as quickly as possible in real-world workflows.
Also, until the end of the week, there’s a 30% discount available for upgrading to DockView 2 and on my other apps as well.
