A couple weeks back I wrote to you about our dummy rounds, and a good number of you wrote back with questions. Three of them came up over and over, so I want to answer them here.
Will these feed in my gun?
Yes. These are caliber specific but not gun specific. We optimized the shape so they feed in all guns chambered for that caliber. Pick your caliber and you are done. There is no compatibility chart to dig through.
Are these the same dummy rounds you have been selling for years?
No. This is a second generation product. Same idea, meaningfully better execution. The polymer is more robust than what we used before. The shape is now tapered, which is what makes them feed reliably across a much wider range of guns. And we offer them in significantly more calibers than we used to. If you own a set of our originals, these are the upgrade.
Why are yours different from everyone else's?
Fair question. There is a lot of dummy ammo out there, and Amazon is full of aluminum casings and 3D printed options. Three things set ours apart.
Real brass, fused. Ours are built on never fired brass casings with the polymer fused in place. They cannot be pulled apart, which means they cannot be converted into a live round. A lot of the popular options on the market can be.
A different color for every caliber. We are the only ones doing this. It means you can identify what you are holding at a glance, and a 9mm never quietly ends up in a .40 magazine.
A filled primer pocket. Your firing pin gets a real striking surface instead of empty space, which reduces the risk of damage to your gun and keeps the round from getting stuck in the chamber. Hollow primer pockets are one of the most common problems with cheap dummy ammo, and it is the kind of problem you do not notice until something is already worn out.
One more thing
I recorded a video walking through how this product has evolved over the years at our company, what we changed, and why. It is at the very bottom of the product page. You will scroll past the calibers and the details to get to it, but if you want the full story straight from me, it is worth the scroll.
Available in .380 Auto, 38 Special, 9mm, .40, .45, and 5.56 NATO. If you teach, the instructor kit covers the common handgun calibers in one box. Guardian Nation members get their discount automatically at checkout.
Train well,

P.S. If you have a question I did not cover here, hit reply and ask. I read them, and the ones that keep showing up are the ones that end up in emails like this. The full page is here.
