Two Armed Defenders Stopped the Memorial Drive Shooter in Minutes
Cambridge Memorial Drive Shooting
On May 11, a man walked down the middle of Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, firing a rifle into traffic. By the time it was over, 50–60 rounds had been fired and at least a dozen vehicles were hit. A state trooper engaged first — and took a round through the A-pillar of his cruiser for his trouble. What changed the equation was a Marine veteran with a Massachusetts License to Carry who moved toward the gunfire instead of away from it. Two armed defenders from two different angles created a tactical problem the gunman could not solve. Jacob breaks down why the second angle mattered, what the DA actually credited (hint: not the caliber), and what carriers should take from a case study that happened in one of the hardest LTC states in the country.

The ConcealedCarry.com Store Is Back in the Mobile App
ConcealedCarry.com Shop in the Mobile App
We just pushed a major app update. The full ConcealedCarry.com shop — roughly 500 products across every category we carry — is now browseable from inside the mobile app. Filter by category, sort by popularity, newest, or price, and view the same images, ratings, and descriptions you'd see on the desktop site. One honest note: checkout still kicks out to your phone's browser. That's deliberate — it keeps your payment and order information handled the same way it already is on our site instead of routed through the app stores. If you already have the app it should update automatically; if you don't, it's free with no ads.

S13E20: Avoid These Top Trauma Training & Gear Mistakes
May is Stop The Bleed Month, which makes this episode well-timed. Riley and Jacob walk through the most common mistakes people make with trauma gear and trauma training in a concealed carry context — what a basic kit actually needs (pressure dressing, wound packing, tourniquet, gloves, chest seals), why a compact bleeding-control kit beats the giant one you leave in the truck, and the trap of relying on improvised substitutes instead of the real thing. They close on why training has to match gear: a tourniquet you've never put on a real limb under stress is just decoration. Practical episode and a good gut-check on what's in your kit.
