I want to be direct with you this week, because I do not put my name behind these very often.
On Thursday, August 13, we are hosting a free live session with Dan Brady called The Truth About Low Light. Dan spent 25 years in law enforcement, and 20 of those years training cops and non cops like most of us. When it comes to low light tactics and gear, he is one of the few people I will take at his word without checking behind him.
Here is why this one matters. Most of us carry a light, or a weapon light, or both, and we assume that checks the box. It does not. A lot of the gear people are carrying is outdated, and a lot of the doctrine people are still being taught was built for a different era. The result is that a whole lot of otherwise well trained concealed carriers are set up to fail after dark, and they have no idea. Dan is going to walk through exactly where that breaks down and what to do about it.
Statistically, if you ever have to use your gun, it is likely to happen in reduced light. This is not a niche topic. It is the environment.
