This is the light

A few weeks ago we launched a brand new video training course called Defense After Dark. I'm sure you probably remember all those emails.

At the time, and even now, I think we get too wrapped up in the gear of it all that we tend to forget about knowledge and tactics. Low-light stuff certainly has to address the question of the flashlight but we didn't want to make it about the flashlight.

That said, we have been getting a lot of questions about lights. What flashlight do we recommend, what is the best light etc.

There are a lot of good lights out there, but just to give you a simple recommendation, check out the Noxon Anark.

It checks the 3 boxes I care about:

1: Pocket sized. Not sticking some massive thing in my pocket. It fits.

2: Has the specs. 18K Candela means it has the punch and the brightness to function in every defensive context I'm ever going to find myself in.

3: The operation is simple and effective. Tailcap for the full bright setting. Momentary on. Constant on. Admin light activated with side button.

There are other features but that frankly is the short of why I use this light and others I trust in the industry do too.
