From the very first collection we made with our fashion designer Marc Audibet, a long shirt was always present. Known in France as a Liquette, it sounds almost like a chic cocktail.
Each season, we continue to include one not because it is a bestseller, but because it’s a beautiful, timeless item. Generous in shape yet elegant, warm in the winter and airy and cool in the summer. A cross between a nightshirt and a kaftan but finished and detailed like the finest of handmade shirts. Last season, it was suddenly on the catwalks and in campaigns; at last, it is getting the recognition it deserves.
This summer, we have the liquette in the finest, lightest, coolest Swiss cotton, in pale pink, white and blue, the colours of the sky reflected in the sea at dawn and dusk. To be worn over trousers, jeans, shorts, or swimwear, belted or loose. Or as we prefer in private … with nothing underneath for a sense of total freedom, relaxation and ease.
