I recently asked all the moms on our small team to share their “#1 Anyday hack that makes parenting easier.”
Funny enough, every single one had the same exact response: steaming quick veggies in their Anyday dishes.
“My number #1 Anyday parenting hack is definitely steaming veggies because it is literally how we add them to our mealtimes everyday. Since I can steam veggies in the microwave in minutes— aka quick broccoli, peas, sweet potatoes — they’re so easy to tack onto our meals. From there I top with anything my kids love, like shredded cheese, butter, etc.”

“When making dinner for my kids, veg is, embarrassingly, always my afterthought. I zero in on the protein and the grain, and then in the last five minutes I'm like — wait, I need a vegetable!!
Maybe I've just been trained this way because I know it only ever takes a couple of minutes to get a perfectly good veg on the table. My go-tos: broccoli, carrots, frozen peas, bok choy, zucchini. And I always keep options in my silicone freezer trays to dress them up — herb butter, minced garlic, ginger.
Bottom line: I truly don't think my family would survive dinnertime without this hack.”

“One of my favorite parenting hacks is steaming frozen edamame in the 2-Cup Dish. It’s such an easy healthy snack, and my kids never say no to it. I can take it straight from the freezer to table in just a few minutes, no boiling water needed. My daughter also loves helping sprinkle the salt on top and peeling the pods. It’s become our go-to “fill their stomach a little” snack instead of reaching for potato chips.”
