Hello -,
With the help of many Cornbread customers making calls, the US Senate voted 61-32 for a 30-day delay to the federal hemp ban that was set to go into effect on November 12, 2026. This ban will make every Cornbread Hemp product illegal across the United States, including our CBD products.
The delay grants 30 more days for hemp products that are naturally produced, which means synthetic cannabinoids like HHC and THC-O will become illegal on November 12th, but naturally produced hemp products will remain legal until December 11th. So what does this mean for Cornbread?
First, nothing at Cornbread Hemp is synthetic. Our CBD and THC gummies are all-natural and USDA-certified organic, which means the extension grants all Cornbread Hemp products another 30 days in the marketplace.
Second, the intent of this extension is to give Congress enough time to pass regulations by the December 11th deadline. This should include 21+ age gating, third-party lab testing, no synthetics, and reasonable milligram caps; things that responsible operators in this space have been asking for since 2018. But it’s not going to happen without a huge fight.
The trade groups from competitive industries have spent tens of millions of dollars in an effort to shut down our industry. As we get closer to December, you’re going to see more “gas station weed” and “hemp loophole” propaganda than ever before. Know that this is all designed to sway Congress and the public into shutting down our entire industry, good actors included, in order to eliminate their competition.
