Why We Play the Long Game

Every one of our objects starts with a problem. Why do scissors fail? Why don’t hinges hold their tension better? Why should anyone have to live with a keyring that shreds their fingernails? Our aim is to solve these problems once and for all, and to do it with objects that last long enough for that problem to never arise again.

Chroma Scissors: We made these to be the last pair of scissors you’ll ever need to buy. We made sure that was true with a stainless steel construction, a smooth circular hinge, and a blade profile optimized for years of clean cuts.

Summit Card Case: With a metal injection molded steel body and the obsessively refined, bi-stable Summit Hinge, our signature card carrier is built to faithfully snap open and shut to protect your most valuable cards and credentials.

Rope Split Ring: We fixed a problem almost two centuries in the making with this one. By introducing a small thumb tab that makes adding keys a breeze, we’ve made a long-lasting key carry that won’t leave you needing a manicure.

Since we started Craighill, we’ve worked directly with customers whose purchases haven’t met our standard of excellence.
