Self Love
These two words have been almost anathema to me, as I realised that after my separation from my partner of 14 years in 2021, I had forgotten in my decision making to ever really consider self love as something of value for as long as I can remember.
My inability to do this simple thing has impacted my personal life, my creative life and my ability to follow my intuition.
On the 9th of November 2021, the foundry that produced our cast iron range notified me that they could no longer produce our C Series cast iron pans due to technical difficulties.
Following this news, I began a now, ongoing weekly Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapy. This journey in therapy has helped me unpack so much around decisions I make in every aspect of my life and has helped me gain strength and clarity as I evolve Crane into the next chapter.
For you that run businesses, whether small, medium or large. Whatever the size, they are very much like your baby and an integral part of your being.
It’s not just about selling things, but it’s a way of being and communicating with the wider world and developing that now, often overused word - community.
In the spirit of community, Crane will now be donating 1% of our net profit annually to the organisation Place2Be. Their focus is to bring therapy into schools and give all children the important opportunity to have someone listen to them.
My firm belief is that you can support children in making better food choices but we need to start with listening to them. I love the Jewish word for this - Shema.
