Whatever your budget, there's probably a fountain pen for you. From under £10, to over £500, we take a look at some of the best fountain pens you can get for your money at each price point.

The interesting part to us is that while some people will very happily spend hundreds on a pen, others think any pen costing more than £1 is a waste - and we're not sure either is wrong. Yes, a cheap ballpoint will do much the same job, and if you don't really care about pens (shudder), there's little point in spending more. But if you enjoy using pens, why not go for something you'll get more pleasure from every day?

A Luxury Mystery That Was

If you tried to grab the mystery box from yesterday's Penorama, and it was already sold out, sorry!

It's safe to say this one exceeded our expectations. But now we know that some of you really do want a high end mystery like this, we'll try to have a few more available next time!

This is Fred, or Freddie, sent in by Susan, all the way from New Zealand.

Yeah, I've taken almost exactly that second photo when I've accidentally turned on the selfie camera.

Good recovery in the last shot, though. A little blep is always cute.

Fred is, apparently, not the smartest of cats, and likes to chew electric cables. But at least he doesn't chew pens. He also enjoys yoga, a popular pastime for cats.

And while we're there, wave to Anna - she wrote these newsletters for years, but moved to New Zealand. It probably wasn't just to be closer to Freddie, but we can't rule it out. Hi Anna! Kia ora!
