64 years since our first Beauty was born.

64 years ago, in 1962, the very first Dayton Beauty was born right here in East Vancouver.

In 1987, to honour the 25th anniversary, we made a special run of Silver Beauties — same western last, same tough Goodyear welted construction, full-grain leather that develops its own character over time — just silver-grey leather instead of the classic black.

The Beauty has been in the Dayton lineup for decades. Originally built as a no-frills western-style boot — black leather, functional shape, built for work. 

It then quickly moved beyond that category. It was worn on job sites, on bikes, and into everyday life.

Through all of that, the construction stayed consistent. Goodyear welted, repairable, and built to be worn for decades, not seasons.

The Silver Beauties were built on that same foundation — built for real work, real rides, and real life.

Right now, we have just one pair left from that 1987 anniversary edition. This pair also survived the Hastings factory fire — a rare piece of Dayton history that made it through.
