Mandarin Oriental Canouan
Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, Caribbean

“The incredible experiences began the moment we took off for St. Vincent and the Grenadines on a private charter flight. When we arrived at Mandarin Oriental we were greeted by a team of staff (including our butler!) who escorted us to our incredible suites. We rounded off the evening with some dinner at Tides Bar & Grill, the beetroot Carpaccio is a must try! The following day we explored the Canouan Estate. We visited a local church that plays host to weddings and had a peek into the best kids club I have ever seen - every detail had been considered - before being treated to spa treatments which take place in tree top huts. There was no music, but the therapist opened the doors and we could hear the sea lapping up against the shore – incredible.”

Lesante Cape and Lesante Blu

“I’d never been to Zante before, and the image of the party island is what people first think of. This trip really opened my eyes – I visited some great quality hotels that weren’t previously on my radar and came to realise that Zante is a perfect destination for families, too! Lesante Cape is a great option for everyone, and the villas are ideal for large families. There’s also a great kids club and playground. Although there is a big main pool, some rooms have their own private pools.
If you’re not holidaying with little ones, Lesante Blu is a great option as it is an adults-only hotel. There is a small beach and a lovely pool area that was relatively quiet, but if you want that extra bit of guaranteed privacy, you can also choose rooms with private pools.”

First time to Dubai

“In May this year, I was lucky enough to get to go to Dubai for the first time. It had never been somewhere I’d considered before when thinking about where to go for my holidays, but I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience. In the middle of the city, you’re surrounded by incredible, grand buildings, but go just outside and you’re met with beautiful, serene beaches. I stayed at the stunning Ritz Carlton, which has its own private beach and even got the chance to head up the Burj Khalifa to take in the incredible views. If you’re unsure like I was, then you need to take the plunge and give this amazing destination a try – you won’t regret it.”

Nurai Island Hotel

“A breezy speedboat transfer over to Nurai Island was like being transported into paradise. I had no prior expectations, so the change of pace from Abu Dhabi and Dubai which I had just left really surprised me! I couldn’t get my head around how this little hidden gem wasn’t at full capacity – the cost of this in comparison to some of the hotels I had just stayed at in Dubai was substantially less! If you’re looking for a tranquil island pace and a touch of serenity, then this is definitely the hotel for you. It was perfectly imperfect. Everything worked in harmony. Nurai Island is now at the top of my list for hotels I can’t wait to return to."

A trip around Barbados

“I’ve just come back from an amazing trip to Barbados – my first time on the island! There is a property for everyone in the Caribbean. Peaceful, secluded residences and guest houses are perfect for those looking to completely switch off, but there are plenty of ultra-modern beach club hotels for those after a little more atmosphere. I still can’t get over how crystal clear the ocean was on the West Coast, so clear that during my stay at the iconic Sandy Lane I was lucky enough to see a turtle swimming close to shore. I already can’t wait to return. The warm hospitality of the locals combined with the incredible luxury of the hotels is already calling me back!"
