Insights, Values and Experiences
|
We are pleased to announce that we have launched the website modem-dialogues.com, dedicated exclusively to the conversations of the project MODEM Dialogues.
MODEM Dialogues is a project conceived by Ezio Barbaro and hosted by Florian Müller, which brings together leaders from design, education, industry, culture, and institutional leadership who are shaping the future of fashion through critical thinking, creative practice, and institutional work.
MODEM Dialogues views fashion as a lens through which to observe broader social changes and aims to share experiences and offer food for thought to those constructing the industry’s future. It’s not about trends. It’s about continuity. Meaningful conversations that resonate beyond the present moment.
Next interview: Newsletter Monday, June 8, 2026, dedicated to Raffaello Napoleone, Board member in charge of International and Institutional Relations of Pitti Immagine.

Spotlight on Findings Showroom
|
|
Findings was established in 1989 as an intimate Los Angeles showroom representing handbags, belts, and jewelry. Under the guidance of founder Dierdre Roffoni, the company evolved organically, eventually incorporating ready-to-wear into its mix. The strength of the showroom is grounded in the long-standing relationships Findings has with both clients and designers. Today, nearly three decades later, Findings has offices in both Los Angeles and New York, including satellite showrooms in Paris, Dallas, and Atlanta.

ALIX OF BOHEMIA

A well-traveled collection of vintage textiles and the spontaneous purchase of a sewing machine led to Alix Verley Pietrafesa making garments during her art history studies in Scotland. Alix learned her craft by making over 2,500 bespoke one-of-a-kind pieces. Staying true to her hand-focused approach, today Alix works with artisans to create hand embroidered, hand woven, hand quilted, and hand printed pieces. Collections are designed at ALIX OF BOHEMIA's New York studio using only natural fibers. This way garments get better with every wash, like a pair of jeans.
XÍRENA

Designer and founder Dierdre Roffoni created Xirena based on her years of travel to the hippie island of Formentera, Spain. Inspired by the carefree lifestyle of this bohemian environment, a collection of chic, modern, and sexy separates was born. In designing Xirena, Dierdre draws from lingerie and swimwear to create a line that can be worn at home, on the go, or lounging on the beach. The simple shapes combine bold prints, vivid color, and metallic accents; these elements continue to act as the building blocks for the line season after season.
YUZEFI

Yuzefi is a London fashion brand with an experimental and thought-provoking approach to design. With a strong sense of invention and newness, the brand thrives on the unexpected, pushing the boundaries of inherited rules to create a fresh point of view. Silhouettes are bold and nonconformist, colours are rich and surprising, and details are a visual twist that begs a closer look. An uncompromising approach to the quality of materials used defines the finished product. Yuzefi offers its diverse audience a luxury product at an accessible price point. Pieces are made for always, not just the current season. By focusing on finding everyday newness in a familiar world, Yuzefi is defined by a fresh perspective that paves the way for lasting style.

61st edition of La Biennale di Venezia. In Minor Keys
|
|
In our myths, in our songs, that’s where the seeds are. It is not possible to constantly hone on the crisis. You have to have the love and you have to have the magic, that’s also life. Toni Morrison, 1977
Curated by Koyo Kouoh under the title In Minor Keys, the 61st International Art Exhibition is grounded in a profound belief in artists as interpreters of our social and psychological realities and as catalysts for new forms of connection and possibility.
