A Canadian summer is often overlooked. If you’re outdoorsy or looking for adventure, a trip to a Canadian national park will cost you much less than one in the US.
Parks Canada is waiving all entry fees this summer from June 19 to September 7, giving travelers free access to all 37 national parks across the border. Free is a hard price to argue with. I’m currently tracking flights on Dollar Flight Club.

Book it by entering your flight details, and a CLEAR Ambassador will meet you right at the gate, help with baggage, and get you where you need to go, whether that is a connecting flight or straight to your ride home. The service covers groups of up to eight people and normally runs $199, but your first booking is currently half off at $99.50.
A CLEAR+ membership is required to access the service, so make sure you are logged in before booking to lock in the discount. If you’re not a member, it’s worth signing up because a surprising number of travel credit cards cover the annual membership cost entirely through statement credits, meaning you could be accessing all of this for free without even realizing it. Starlink Is Coming to American Airlines Flights in 2027
|

As a lifelong American Airlines passenger, mostly because I am an airline brat to a father who has dedicated his career to the carrier, this is the news I've been waiting for. American has been on a Wi-Fi hot streak lately, and now the carrier is taking it further, announcing Starlink on more than 500 narrowbody aircraft starting in early 2027.
American Airlines has been building toward this for a while. The carrier quietly rolled out free high-speed Wi-Fi for AAdvantage members back in January 2026, sponsored by AT&T, and expanded it across nearly the entire network by spring with no fees or subscriptions. The catch is that the current system still comes with slowdowns and outages. Starlink fixes exactly that with speeds fast enough to stream and video call mid-flight. But hopefully you don’t participate in the latter if you want to be a good seat neighbor.
This Starlink deal is an exciting and long-overdue step forward. The question that remains is whether that free access carries over once Starlink launches, because if it does, American just made a very compelling case for itself.

Sri Lanka Decided 40 Countries Deserve a Free Pass
|

This is my sign to finally book the trip. Sri Lanka has been at the top of my travel bucket list for less than a year (Lol!), and the island just made an exciting announcement waiving visa fees for tourists from more than 40 countries, meaning travelers from the US, UK, and much of Europe can explore for up to 30 days without paying a single entry fee.
Free doesn’t mean that you get out on signing paperwork. Travelers from eligible countries still need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization before arrival through the official portal. What used to cost $50 per person now runs you exactly nothing, but the application itself is still required. It takes just minutes to complete, and approval typically comes within 24 to 72 hours.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date, and children of any age need their own ETA, though those under 12 are exempt. Fees that have already been paid before May 25, 2026, are non-refundable.
🇱🇰 What’s Sri Lanka like?
Sri Lanka has six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the most scenic train ride you will ever take through tea country, and apparently the highest density of leopards in the world inside Yala National Park. You can watch hundreds of wild elephants gather at Minneriya Lake, surf the south coast, hike through tea plantations, and explore ancient ruins.
This country has always had everything going for it, and now that the visa fee is gone, I am running out of reasons to keep putting this trip off.
