Nothing inspires travel quite like a beautiful photo. No matter what I write, a picture captures way more.
I could tell you that you simply must visit the ice caves in Iceland’s Katla geopark because you’ll find yourself enveloped by the iridescent blues of the ice. Look closer, and you’ll see the almost plastic-like sheen of ice is marked with ancient ash that’s been trapped within the ice from volcanic eruptions.
Or I could just show you the gorgeous picture on slide three.
In today’s edition:
Enough said,

🏩 Major hotel savings for June and July
We’ve written about how amazing Tofino is before, and now is the perfect excuse for you to bite the bullet on a trip. Hotel Zed Tofino is offering 20 percent off rooms between June and July when you use the promo code PRIDE. It’s the perfect family-friendly Pride event, but reservations for some events, like drag brunch, are highly recommended.
Other hotels like New York’s Crowne Plaza in Midtown are rolling out packages that offer swag bags and complimentary drinks. They are also donating part of every package booked to the Ali Forney Center, which supports LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness.
Perhaps the best deal I’ve seen out there is the Mondrian Mexico City Condesa. The 5-star hotel is offering 20 percent off accommodations, daily breakfast for two, and a complimentary room upgrade (if available).
🛳️ Sail away for 70 percent off
Virgin Voyages is going big for Pride month and offering 70 percent off a second sailor and up to $300 in onboard credit. And the perks don’t end there, you can also get a free balcony upgrade on summer sailings from Athens and Barcelona. And, don’t miss out on A Toast to Pride, which are select voyages celebrating with special Pride events onboard.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random
|
|
The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.
Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft.
That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor and follow up automatically, and continue to erase data as new risks appear.
Try Incogni here and get 55% off your subscription with code NAVIGATOR.

Google’s New Feature Can Help You Earn More Travel Rewards
|
|
Just last month, Google’s I/O Conference took place, where they announced over 100 updates. Most of the changes have to do with AI, and one major change garnered some panic over the end of the Google Search Bar.
Regarding travel, there is really only one feature update that I think will be helpful for all of you hoping to rack up more travel rewards. Google has rolled out the Universal Cart.
The Universal Cart is an intelligent shopping cart that can help you make smarter shopping decisions. Once you add something to the cart, your cart will work in the background to find you price drops, better deals on other sites, alert you if something comes back into stock, and provide you with price history on the product.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. This sounds helpful for the few times I buy travel gear, but what’s the big whoop?
The real perk is the attachment to the Google Wallet. Because Wallet has your card information, it is tuned to your payment methods and can analyze the perks, loyalty information, and merchant offers to help you choose the best payment method.
If you ask me, it’s about time Google rolled this out. The tech giant is, in all honesty, a bit behind on this feature since there are other Google Extensions like Kudos and CardPointers that provide similar services. I still think this is an important update so that travelers can rack up points without having to analyze every card in their wallet every time they are buying something online.
However, I also recommend refreshing yourself every year on what perks each card has and perhaps keeping a little cheat sheet in your wallet of which card to use for what type of purchase. Happy earning!

How to Choose Between PreCheck, CLEAR, and Global Entry
|
|
If you’re still going through the general security line at airport security, I feel like this is a good time to remind you that you could be getting through a bit faster. With the busy summer travel season already here, now might be the best time to join a Trusted Traveler Program.
✈️ First, what is a Trusted Traveler Program?
Trusted Traveler Programs, or TTPs, allow pre-approved travelers to move through security more quickly and use expedited lanes at both US airports and when crossing international borders. There are a few different programs, but they each have different requirements, paperwork, costs, and approval times. Depending on what you need and how much you travel, you have to figure out which one best matches your travel style.
🇺🇸 Who is TSA PreCheck best for?
Most travelers. It’s a great all-around program, no matter how much (or how little) you travel. With this program, you no longer have to remove your shoes, laptop, liquid bags, jackets, or even belts.
🌏 Who is Global Entry best for?
People who travel internationally at least four times per year. If you go across the pond quite a bit, you’ll greatly benefit from the expedited customs clearance when you land back in the US. For this one, you don’t need to be a US citizen to enroll.
🛂 How does CLEAR work?
CLEAR is not considered a Trusted Traveler Program because it’s not an official government program. Instead, CLEAR is owned by a private company.
And, while it works similarly to TSA PreCheck, there are a few key differences. While PreCheck allows you to go through a shorter security line, CLEAR helps you skip the line entirely. With CLEAR, you approach a kiosk and verify your ID and boarding pass, and then they use biometric technology to confirm it’s you. Once you’re done at the kiosk, an agent takes you to the front of the line.
💎 Are there other perks?
These are the three major programs at US borders and airports, but did you know there are even more programs out there? Read our in-depth article about all the TTPs out there, as well as how to save on any application fees and extra perks that come with enrolling.
