Every so often I get bored of what's on television and rewatch old episodes of Anthony Bourdain, because nothing else scratches a travel itch quite like watching a man eat noodles on a plastic stool in the rain. With a new biopic about him out in theatres, it feels like the perfect excuse to dig into where he actually loved eating around the world.

Southwest’s Week of Wow Is Giving You Every Reason to Pack
|

Southwest's running its Week of Wow promos again, and look, the name is a lot, but the deals themselves are worth your attention. Bonus points, fare discounts, and a handful of other perks for Rapid Rewards members. Given how quickly fall and holiday travel prices tend to spike, this is a really good window to lock in plans before prices catch up to demand.
All the ways you can save some mula:
✈️ Flight sale: Up to 40% off flights booked by September 17, for travel October 5, 2026 through March 3, 2027. This covers the continental US, Hawaii, and select international routes. Blackout dates do apply.
🏨 Vacation package discounts: Up to $250 off domestic packages, up to $500 off international, as long as your hotel nights cover your entire flight itinerary. There’s no listed end date, but it's tied to this promo window, so I wouldn’t sit on it.
💳 Bonus hotel points: You can book through Southwest Hotels by September 21 to get an extra 3,000 Rapid Rewards points, usable on stays anytime through September 30.
🚗 Enterprise rental discount: Save up to 15% on rentals of 3+ days at participating airport locations (not city offices). Book by September 21, pick up by December 15, 2026.
🔑 Hertz points bonus: Earn 600 to 2,750 Rapid Rewards points depending on rental length (1-2 days, 3-6 days, or 7+ days), plus savings on Pay Later rates. Book and pick up by December 31, 2026.
Now it would be hard to obviously chase all five deals at once, so I’d grab whichever makes sense for a trip you might already have planned. Watch the dates closely; some expire this week (September 17 or 21), others give you a full year to use them, so don't rush a booking just because it's on sale.

A crossover is happening between Delta Air Lines and World of Hyatt, bringing a bit of loyalty double-dipping to frequent travelers. Launching soon, this newly announced sky-to-suite partnership lets elite travelers earn Hyatt points on flights and Delta SkyMiles on stays, so wherever you fly or rest your head at night, your status now works double time.
CEOs Mark Hoplamazian and Ed Bastian are connecting the two loyalty programs so elite members get real perks that carry from the flight into the stay, better upgrades, shared status recognition, and fewer moments where your premium status ends after wheels hit the tarmac.
Where to earn on both ends of the trips now:
🏛️ Delta's new Seattle-to-Rome route pairs perfectly with the soon-to-open Thompson Rome, so you can go from cross-country flight to cobblestone streets and dive right into the classic Rome trifecta: ancient ruins, homemade pasta, and enough gelato stops to justify all that walking.
