Has this happened to you?
It's late. You've been running around all day.
You get home, you didn't plan anything for dinner, and you're stuck.
These little moments can throw off your momentum when you've been doing a good job with your eating habits. They make you feel bad about something that isn't really a big deal.
Don't worry. It happens to me ALL the time.
Here's a simple solution I use to try to avoid this. And no, meal prepping 25 Tupperware on Sunday isn't the answer.
If we have leftovers from a big dinner, instead of finishing them off or tossing them out, we put them in a small container in the freezer for nights like this.
We try to pick our absolute favorite meals so we're actually excited to heat them up later.
Another favorite: making a few extra hamburger patties, layering them between wax paper, and tossing them in the freezer next to our ROYO burger buns. 10 minutes from freezer to plate, and we have something we're excited to eat and feel good about.
Healthy eating isn't a sprint. It's a journey.
There will be bumps in the road. Do your best to plan ahead, and when you slip up, just get back on and keep going.
