INTRODUCING THE ECZEMA HONEY BROWN SUGAR FACE & BODY SCRUB

When we introduced our original Eczema Honey Premium Oatmeal Scrub, it quickly became a customer-favorite as a convenient all-in-one scrub to clean and exfoliate the entire body while easing flare-ups. However, we didn’t just want to stop there. For some customers, the Epsom salt particles were still too harsh for frequent use. We want to give our customers options since eczema never really has a one-size-fits all solution. A natural step was to produce another scrub using finer particles and brown sugar is an ideal ingredient.

Light Brown Sugar for a Finer and Gentler Scrub

The granules in sugar are smaller than salt which makes them a better choice to exfoliate sensitive skin. We choose to use brown sugar for a few reasons. In order to be refined, white sugar undergoes a chemical process whereas brown sugar is never exposed to these types of chemicals. Brown sugar is rich in molasses that nourishes the skin with Vitamin B.

Sugar is rich with glycolic acid. You will likely see glycolic acid on the labels of a wide variety of skincare products. It’s derived from sugar. The main benefit of glycolic acid is that it’s great for exfoliating the skin. In addition to cleansing the skin of dead skin cells, glycolic acid has anti-aging and anti-acne properties. We like to keep our ingredients lists simple so that’s why we use light brown sugar (for a host of benefits) rather than adding the raw chemical. Plus, we stray away from making any active ingredient too strong.

Packed with Moisture to Counteract Dry Skin

Our Eczema Honey Brown Sugar Body Scrub treats the body with both a physical and chemical process of exfoliation. The sugar granules can sweep away larger rough skin while glycolic acid works over time. Both types of exfoliating can leave the skin dry. We pack our body scrubs with moisturizing ingredients to counteract this including Vitamin E Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Beeswax, Honey, and Colloidal Oatmeal. Unlike other body scrubs that leave skin raw and bare, this scrub will make your skin feel like new again.

Which Scrub Is Right for Me?

Should you choose the Eczema Honey Premium Oatmeal Scrub or the Eczema Honey Brown Sugar Face & Body Scrub? We think the answer may actually be both. The original Oatmeal Scrub delivers mineral benefits to your skin via a blend of premium Epsom salts. The brown sugar scrub delivers Vitamin B. The original scrub may be more effective at tackling rough and cracked skin from eczema. The brown sugar scrub may be gentler for more frequent use.

Ultimately, we recommend the brown sugar scrub for those with sensitive skin because the epsom salt may be too harsh for them. However, epsom salt can ease pain from eczema flare-ups. So we recommend the Premium Oatmeal Scrub to use every once and a while for those with non-sensitive skin. Ideally, try both and see which one works best for you.
